General
Do I need planning permission?
In most cases, no. We build the majority of our garden rooms with a height of 2.5 metres, so these are classed as ‘permitted development’ and will not require planning permission. We will advise on the need for building regulations depending on the size of the room in square metres.
How long will my room take to install?
We build using Structurally Insulated Panels (SIPs) so most garden rooms are constructed within a week. We then take a further week to complete the finishings.
Does my room need a foundation?
Your garden room will need to sit on a firm foundation but this does not need to be concrete. We use a solution using ground screws that can be fitted in half a day with minimal fuss and impact on your garden. We can also clear any existing garden waste before commencement.
What if the property has no side or rear access?
We can usually access the garden via the house but will need to confirm this during a site visit.
Will you travel to anywhere in the UK?
We focus on the South East but will consider travel across the UK if required!
What’s included?
Does my installation include connection to mains electricity supply?
Yes we usually install an electricity supply to the building.
Can I have water facilities to my building?
Yes. We work with a plumbing partner and have options for basic water and also waste facilities.
What guarantees do your rooms carry?
Our rooms come with a 10 year guarantee but in reality are built to last more like 50 years.
Contract details
What are your payment terms?
We require 50% of the cost on confirmation so that we can pay for materials. We then ask for the final 50% on completion when you are happy with the build.
What if there is a problem with my room after completion?
We are a local business that prides itself on customer care. If you ever have an issue simply call us and we will be over very quickly to fix things.
